Pre-Start Health and Safety Reviews
The following standards, including codes and legislation are listed in the guidelines for PSHR which published by the Ministry of Labor, April 2001.
Please note that Standards listed in bold are accepted by the Ministry as good engineering practice in complying with the Regulation for Industrial Establishments. Standards not listed in bold have not been reviewed by the Ministry but are considered good practice. Such standards must be reviewed by a professional engineer to ensure that adherence to them would satisfy all the requirements of the Regulation for Industrial Establishments.
The ideal time to conduct a PSR is during the design stage, this will avoid any modifications, or changes may be required to be in compliance with applicable standards or regulations after the machine, structure or apparatus are built.
